Repeat business is probably the best indicator
of how we feel about Jim River Ranch. We already reserved our hunt for next
year and we gladly paid our deposits to secure a spot in the Pheasant
Capital of the World next year. Jesse Wright is one of the best hunting
lodge guides and operators I have ever met. Jesse makes everyone feel...
good about the hunt, tends to each individuals preferences and genuinely
wants each person to have the time they wanted out of the hunt. He
accomodates those that want to hunt hard and those that might need to be
accomodated. He gave each of us the pleasure and experience we were seeking
in our hunting even though we had a large group of 10 people.
We have hunted all over the world with lots of great guides and operators
but Jesse does everything in a first class way. He offers several beautiful
properties with lots of game. He has great guides and assistants with
skilled and obedient dogs. He provides great transportation to cover lots of
ground with plenty of help in the field, and great food before, during and
after the hunt.
Jesse is a tremendous guide and provides wonderful hospitality. Jesse is a
very successful businessman but really seems to have a calling for serving
others in this wonderful setting. He has a beautiful lodge that is clean and
very well maintained. Jesse makes friends of his guests and he works hard to

If you are planning a South Dakota
pheasant hunt this fall, Jim River Ranch is the place to book your trip.
This place is amazing. The lodge is breath-taking and the hunting ground is
like nothing I have ever seen before. Our guide, Doug Wright, took us out to
show us where we would be hunting the next morning and we had a rooster
playing "chicken" with the side my side ATV. PRICELESS. Also, while we drank
our morning coffee, anxiously waiting for 10 am, we watched partridge
feeding right out of the driveway at the lodge. How many places are you
gonna see that? Two Thumbs Up

A pheasant hunt was a “bucket list” item for the Black Hole Boys; our duck
hunting club and lifelong friends. Dave is the dreamer of the group so he
started the search. He told us that we were going to the pheasant capital of
the world, yeah right. He booked a hunt at Jim River Ranch in Redfield SD.
We weren’t expecting much, no offense Dave, but he disappointed us before.
What we got was the most amazing pheasant hunt we could have ever dreamed
of. The postcard farm house of Jim River Ranch was like a homecoming with
all of the grace and warmth of a stay at Grandma’s house. The food was
fantastic, the guides were consummate hunters and gentlemen, and Jesse your
family and friends made our hunt a memory of a lifetime. We hope to turn our
“one time” hunt in to an annual pilgrimage. Jim River can’t be explained it
has to be experienced. Take it from the hard to please Texas Boys, this is
world class hunting.

Tim Haffner--I have heard about Pheasant hunting
in S Dakota, but until You experience it you have no idea. Jim River Ranch
is awesome. The hunting ground is unbelievable. Birds everywhere. If ever
plan on coming pick Jim River Ranch, lodge is great guides are great. It is
located outside of Redfield South Dakota. |

Jim River Ranch - Josh Andrews - If anyone is
planning a Pheasant Hunt in South Dakota, you gotta check out Jim River
Ranch just outside of Redfield. This place is awesome! The lodge is
breath-taking and the hunting ground is like nothing I have ever seen.
Seriously hope to make this a yearly thing. There are birds everywhere.

Had a great time, everything went well. Doug, Pat and Wally made us feel
right at home we had a lot of fun. Everyone is looking forward to coming

Thank you for such a great time. We all had so
much fun. Were already making plans for next year. I think were all going to
bring auto's next time!! The house was amazing, and the hunting was superb.
Make sure you tell Pat thanks and we really enjoyed hunting with him and
Vegas. Dave and I will get a package together next week and send you guys
some halibut and salmon.

Thank you for the e-mail. Outstanding hunt, outstanding
accommodations. It was a real pleasure for all of us. My friends back
